during Milan Design Week
The design platform Prostir 86, with the support of the Ukrainian Institute, presented the MODERN_ISM project during Milan Design Week.
MODERN_ISM is a selection of design products presented by 7 Ukrainian brands that rethink the ideas of modernism through a variety of traditional and modern techniques and materials. Hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world had an opportunity to get acquainted with the interior design objects, art objects, ceramics, furniture, lamps and rugs from Natasha Yegorova (TASHA ORO), Eugene Puklich (container.studio), Oksana Levchenko
(OLK manufactory), Masha Reva (Masha Reva X NADIIA), Kateryna Sokolova (NOOM), SVOYA studio design team, Yurii Ryntovt from Ryntovt Design. Ukrainian designers were presented in Superstudio Più, which is a famous location in Milan.

"What did I really like? Despite the fact that we have a small project with a fairly modest budget, we understood that we have a distinct and strong selection of exhibits that fit into the European context, while being distinguished by its original design.
Many visitors were interested in the Ukrainian products and a lot of guests emphasized that our exposition is visually different. Such words and positive emotions of people is
a huge bonus for our team! It should be highlighted that
the historical factor, those centuries-old traditions and techniques used by the Ukrainian masters, certainly left their mark and influenced the modern generation of designers. And this is our advantage! "
- shares Olga Bogdanova, the curator of the project.
