“It is the producer’s work that gets film into the programs of the international festivals and short lists of prestigious awards, as well as to the film markets, co-production forums and cinemas abroad. The Ukrainian producers that have been selected to participate in the Producers Network are one of the strongest in the industry, as they already have successful experience with co-productions and they will honorably represent Ukraine, one of the spotlight countries of this year’s Cannes film market program. International networking, even online, is a powerful tool for promoting national cinema abroad and the first step towards increasing the foreign audience of Ukrainian films,” said Julia Sinkevych, OIFF general producer.

For more than 60 years of its existence the Cannes Film Market and Producers Network program will be held online. The Marché du Film Online will take place 22-26 June 2020.
