We will include the country’s best musicians into a catalogue to present new Ukrainian music to key agents abroad
Music from Ukraine: 2020-2022
The Ukrainian Institute will produce a music catalogue to represent Ukrainian performers abroad.

We are announcing the first open call for representatives of contemporary mainstream, jazz, and academic music.

The catalogue will contribute to the promotion of the Ukrainian music worldwide, increase Ukraine's presence and recognition in the international community, showcase the professional level of Ukrainian musicians, and help establish a dialogue between Ukrainian and international representatives of the music industry.
Why is this important?
Musicians, selected for the catalogue, will be involved in the specialised programmes, projects, and events overseas.

We will update the music catalogue every 2 years.

Publication of the catalogue 2020-2022 is planned for autumn 2020.
It will be distributed among the international actors of the music sector (festivals, showcases, main concert venues, higher musical educational institutions, journalists, music critics), as well as Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad (embassies and consulates of Ukraine, honorary consulates) and representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.
Who can apply?
Performers of contemporary mainstream music (Indie, Rock, Hip Hop), jazz (contemporary jazz, free improvisation, world music), and contemporary academic musicians are invited to participate in the contest. Both solo projects and musical bands are invited to apply.

Citizens of Ukraine who are over 18 years old with permanent residence in Ukraine are eligible to participate in the contest.
How can I participate in the contest?
To participate in the contest, you need to fill out an online application form in Ukrainian and English by June 21, 2020.

You also need to upload the following documents to the online application form:

1. Certificate of absence of direct and indirect contacts with representatives of the aggressor state, Russian Federation, according to the template.
2. Statement of consent, according to the template, to publish information, indicated in the application form, in the catalogue in case of winning the contest.

All applications will be rated by an international jury. Based on the evaluation results, it will select up to 15 projects or performers in each category for the catalogue.
