The Ukrainian Institute, in partnership with the United Nations Women in Ukraine Program, organised an open discussion at the UN Geneva Palace on "Updating Gender Issues by Contemporary Art: Case Study of the Ukrainian Institute and the UN Women in Ukraine Programme". The conversation, moderated by Volodymyr Sheiko, Director General of the Ukrainian Institute, was attended by Oksana Zabuzhko, writer, Olesia Ostrovska-Liuta, cultural manager and director general of the Art Arsenal, and Alevtina Kakhidze, artist. The discussion was held as part of the Regional Meeting on the Beijing+25 Platform, an Equal Rights Action Plan for Governments and Civil Society. The venue was packed for the event: more than 70 representatives of Ukrainian and foreign delegations of the regional meeting, employees of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN in Geneva, representatives of the UN Office of Women in Ukraine, and many others took part.
