The project presented a living anthology of Ukrainian music, weaving together works by leading contemporary composers with traditional Ukrainian songs — not as history, but as a living cultural voice shaped by resilience, continuity, and artistic freedom. 

The Chamber Orkest van het Noorden performed under the direction of composer and conductor Maxim Shalygin, with the participation of renowned Ukrainian pianist Antonii Baryshevskyi. The programme included Shalygin’s works To All Resurrected, Satarsa, and Drop after Drop, alongside Fractured Surfaces by Vitaliy Hodziatsky, Tristium by Svyatoslav Lunyov, and traditional Ukrainian songs performed by vocalist Maryana Golovchenko. An immersive lighting design by Nico de Rooij expanded the sonic experience into a visual one. 

Beyond the concert, the project opened a broader conversation on the preservation of cultural heritage in times of war. A dedicated discussion brought together journalist Hubert Smeets, Frederick Thomson (Cultural Emergency Response), Liubov Morozova (Ukrainian Institute) and Dimitri van der Werf, artistic director of Classical NOW!, reflecting on the responsibility to protect, sustain, and reimagine culture when it is under threat. 

TO ALL RESURRECTED was presented as part of the Classical NOW! Unbroken: Voices from Ukraine series, co-organized with the Ukrainian Institute with the support of Vfonds, Nijmegen4Ukraine and Stevenskerk.
