Applications Now Open for Ukrainian Filmmakers to Receive Accreditation for the European Film Market at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival. 

The Ukrainian Institute has started accepting applications from Ukrainian filmmakers for participation in the European Film Market (EFM) at the Berlin International Film Festival, scheduled for February 2025. 

Following a competitive selection process, three participants will be chosen to receive accreditation, granting access to industry events at the film market and festival activities (EFM Market Badge + Festival). Directors, producers, festival programmers, film scholars, representatives of film companies, and other film industry professionals are eligible to apply. 

To submit an application, candidates must send a motivation letter, CV, filmography, and a description of current projects in English to [email protected]. Applications are open until November 11 (inclusive). 

Applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Ukrainian citizenship; 
  • Minimum age of 18 years; 
  • Fluency in English; 
  • Readiness for public communication; 
  • A proven impeccable professional reputation; 
  • Verified professional experience in the film industry; 
  • The applicant’s activities and stance must align with the principles and values of the Ukrainian Institute. 

*The Ukrainian Institute will assist in obtaining documents for short-term travel abroad to participate in the program but does not guarantee such permits. 

*Accreditation does not cover travel and accommodation expenses. 

The European Film Market (EFM) at the Berlin International Film Festival is one of the key events for film industry professionals from around the world. In 2025, the EFM will take place from February 13 to 19.
