Ukraine at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam (IDFA) 

Three producers selected by the Ukrainian Institute will attend the festival’s industry events at the IDFA Forum, which takes place this year from November 17 to 20. The main goal of the delegation is to present their documentary film projects and seek partners for future co-productions.

The delegation includes: 

  • Darya Bassel 
  • Liuba Knorozok 
  • Alyona Kachkan 

Ukrainian films will also be screened at the festival, including documentary winners from the proMOTION programme and films from the ARTE Generation Ukraine collection. Among the films to be shown at IDFA are: 

  • Songs of Slow Burning Earth directed by Olha Zhurba 
  • Intercepted directed by Oksana Karpovych 
  • Real directed by Oleg Sentsov 
  • Dear Beautiful Beloved by Juri Rechinsky 

As part of the IDFA Forum, there will be a presentation of the project Transparency Booth: Echoes of the Future by co-directors and co-producers Anna Kapustina and Oleksandr Mykhalkovich. 

The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) is one of the leading documentary film festivals in the world, held since 1988. Each year, it showcases around 250 films in its programme, and the event is attended by over 3000 industry representatives. This year, IDFA took place from November 14 to 24.
