Presentations of the Anthologies of Ukrainian Music in the Netherlands
The events were part of an educational and cultural programme for music institutions in the Netherlands, introducing Ukraine’s 20th-century musical heritage in a European context.
The programme combined insights into key figures of Ukrainian musical modernism with live performances by the internationally acclaimed pianist Antonii Baryshevskyi. Special focus was placed on the work of Borys Lyatoshynskyi and the composers of the Kyiv Avant-Garde of the 1960s.
The meetings sparked lively dialogue with students and faculty and marked an important step toward integrating Ukrainian music into the European academic landscape. Further meetings with students of Dutch conservatoires are currently in preparation.
