The first Ukrainian culture festival will take place in India

The first Ukrainian culture festival, Future Perfect, will take place in India. European cultural institutions joined forces to present the Future Perfect festival in India. The Future Perfect is presented by EUNIC India with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to India and in partnership with the Ukrainian Institute and Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India.

The first Ukrainian culture festival, Future Perfect, will take place in India. European cultural institutions joined forces to present the Future Perfect festival in India. The Future Perfect is presented by Eunic India India with the support of Delegation of the European Union to India and in partnership with the Ukrainian Institute and Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India.

The Future Perfect festival offers a different worldview through Ukrainian music, literature, film, photography, and art. Residents and guests of New Delhi will hear creative voices from Ukraine and learn about their contribution to shaping the cultural landscape of Europe and the world.

Famous Ukrainian artists, writer Gaska Shyyan, and artist and curator Maria Kulykovska will open the festival.

The event will be held from May 5th to May 8th in New Delhi.

The festival programme includes film screenings, panel discussions, literary readings, and theatrical performances, including:

  • Film screening: My War and talk with director Maria Kondakova
  • Film screening: Women on the Frontline directed by Ivar Heinmaa
  • Film screening: Olga directed by Elie Grappe, followed by a conversation with actress Anastasiya Budashkina
  • Exhibition and round table discussion History, Destruction, and Hope
  • Poetry reading This is Who We Are
  • Performance by interdisciplinary artist Rina Priduvalova
  • Film screening of Roses. Film Cabaret directed by Irena Stetsenko
  • Future Perfect Mid-term Festival Event featuring special guests Swedish artist Ludmila Khristesëva and Ukrainian artist Maria Kulikovska
  • Film screening: A House Made of Splinters directed by Simon Lereng Wilmont
  • Programme Ukrainian Voices: The Greek Lament of Mariupol
