Ukrainian Institute starts collaboration with Google Arts & Culture

The Ukrainian Institute has become an official partner of the international online platform Google Arts & Culture, which will allow the global audience to get acquainted with the unique examples of Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

The collaboration began with the publication of stories from the project ‘60s. Lost Treasures’ as part of the ‘Ukrainian Artists Through the Ages’ collection, which is dedicated to Ukrainian art and its prominent representatives.

The first publication is the life and work of the sixties artist Lyubov Panchenko, who made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian decorative art.  As part of this collection, we are planning to publish articles about Ukrainian artists of the sixties whose works were partially or completely lost due to political repression and censorship of the Soviet era.

‘Ukrainian Artists Through the Ages’ is part of the ‘Ukraine is Here’ project on the Google Arts & Culture platform. The project was created in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy to preserve and promote Ukrainian art and culture. Through interactive stories, virtual galleries, 3D models of historical artefacts, video and audio content, Ukrainian culture is made accessible to the whole world.
