Jazz India Circuit 2024

On November 23, 2024, Ukrainian pianist and vocalist Tamara Lukasheva performed alongside Indian percussionist Adarsh Shenoy at the renowned Jazz India Circuit festival. This collaboration highlighted the power of music as a universal language and served as a vivid example of cultural dialogue between Ukraine and India. 

The program featured original compositions by Tamara Lukasheva, inspired by the poetry of iconic Ukrainian authors Vasyl Stus, Lina Kostenko, and Tonya Kornuta. The fusion of jazz harmonies with profound lyrical texts created an evocative atmosphere that captivated the audience and underscored music’s ability to transcend borders. 

About the Artists 

  • Tamara Lukasheva is a celebrated Ukrainian jazz vocalist and pianist known for her vocal experiments and improvisational prowess. Her music blends contemporary jazz with elements of traditional folk and classical poetry, offering audiences a unique and enriching experience. 
  • Adarsh Shenoy is a distinguished Indian percussionist, recognized for his innovative approach that merges classical Indian musical traditions with contemporary interpretations.
