In 2020, the Ukrainian Institute launched the Anthologies of Ukrainian Music. These collections feature scores and parts of works by Ukrainian composers, accompanied by musicological annotations from leading researchers and scholars, with translations into English and other European languages.
About the Anthologies
The Anthologies help fill in the gaps in the history of Ukrainian music, reviving repressed and unofficial avant-garde art, and contributing to the decolonisation and promotion of cultural heritage. Each collection can outline a specific historical period, serve as a textbook for a particular genre, or introduce the world to the works of a single outstanding artist.
The purpose of the Anthologies
With this publication, the Ukrainian Institute systematically represents Ukrainian musical heritage worldwide. The publication is intended for performing musicians and concert hall managers and festival organisers who wish to expand their repertoire with Ukrainian music. In addition, it will of value to musicologists and researchers, teachers and students of music institutions, as well as to cultural organisations and libraries.
