The Ukrainian Contemporary Symphonic Miniature Anthology presents the works of two prominent artists of our time. It includes scores by Lviv composer Bohdana Frolyak and Kyiv composer Yevhen Petrov, who at the time of the collection’s release, was serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

About the Anthology
The two volumes contain eight compositions created between 2009 and 2023.
Each score is accompanied by annotations by musicologist Dzvenyslava Safian, presented in Ukrainian and English. These concise essays explore the lives and works of the composers and provide an analysis of the pieces featured in the collection.
This publication complements the Anthology of Ukrainian Symphonic Miniatures and aims to expand the collection by including the most recent works.
With this publication, the Ukrainian Institute continues its systematic representation of Ukrainian musical heritage worldwide.
The anthology, published in 2024 by the Kharkiv-based publishing house ASSA, has a print run of 300 copies and is intended for free distribution. The collection can be ordered by conductors, orchestra managers, concert hall and festival managers, performing musicians, researchers, teachers, students of music institutions, representatives of cultural organisations, and libraries.
