Antony Baryshevsky's solo concert in Vienna
On 2nd October, 2019, a solo concert of Ukrainian pianist Anthony Baryshevsky took place at the Arnold Schoenberg Center (Vienna)
Ukrainian virtuoso pianist Antony Baryshevsky had his first solo concert for Vienna public under the bilateral Year of Culture Ukraine-Austria 2019.
Antony Baryshevsky, the winner of numerous international competitions, who at the age of 16 won the All-Ukrainian programme "Man of the Year", played the music of famous European composers Arnold Schoenberg and Robert Schumann. Baryshevsky also presented the creative work of Ukrainian avant-garde composers Vitaly Godziatsky, Sviatoslav Lunyov, and Valentyn Sylvestrov. The event took place at the Arnold Schoenberg Center.

The programme of the "Bilateral Relations" concert included works of four generations of composers - Arnold Schoenberg, Robert Schuman, Vitaly Godziatsky, Valentyn Sylvestrov, and Sviatoslav Lunyov.
Although their music is very different in style and historical context, they are united by a certain composer technique. It consists of encrypting the words or names into notes. In the 20th century, this method became popular among the composers of different schools and is still used nowadays.

With such selection of composers, Baryshevsky's piano recital "Bilateral Relations" emphasised the interplay and interconnections in the European musical tradition.

The Arnold Schoenberg Center is a cultural institution in Vienna, which preserves the heritage of the Austrian composer, painter and music theoretician, the founder of the new musical language of the 20th century.
