Ukrainian Female Artists at the UN Palace in Geneva
Ukrainian Institute and UN Women in Ukraine invited painter Alevtina Kakhidze, Director General of Art Arsenal (Mystetskyi Arsenal National Art and Culture Museum Complex) Olesya Ostrovska-Lyuta, and Ukraine's writer and philosopher Oksana Zabuzhko to join the UN regional meeting in Geneva.

The Ukrainian Institute and UN Women in Ukraine continue to collaborate for achieving gender equality. The Regional Meeting on the Beijing+25 Platform, an action plan for Governments and Civil Society for Equal Rights - is currently underway at the UN House in Geneva.

Painter Alevtina Kakhidze, Director General of the National Cultural and Artistic and Museum Complex "Artistic Arsenal" Olesya Ostrovska-Lyuta, and writer and philosopher Oksana Zabuzhko take part in a discussion on the importance of "women topic" in Ukrainian art. The topic of the discussion is "Raising gender issues through contemporary art". The discussion is moderated by Volodymyr Sheiko, Director General of the Ukrainian Institute.

The three speakers are nominees for the Women in Arts Award which has been launched this year by the HeForShe movement in Ukraine jointly with the Ukrainian Institute to draw attention to the women contribution in the arts and culture.
