Ukrainian Institute and the COVID-19 pandemic:
action plan
Over the past few weeks, the Ukrainian Institute team has been working
on the action plan amidst the coronavirus spread and quarantine restrictions in our countries of operation, and in Ukraine since March 12.
Taking care of the safety of our staff, partners, and project participants, as well as understanding the need to continue our operations in the face of global challenges, we have identified the following steps:

  1. All foreign business trips for March-April have been cancelled. All the negotiations with foreign partners have been put online.
  2. Our employees have been offered a flexible work schedule, as well as the opportunity to stay home in cases provided for by labor law.
  3. The annual action plan has been reformated with the priorities for projects not requiring mass events (such as online campaigns, research, preparations for launching new programmes, etc.). Some public events scheduled for spring 2020 have been cancelled (as we informed the participants immediately). We are also looking for the possibility of rescheduling some projects. The list of the cancelled or rescheduled events of the Ukrainian Institute can be found here.

Continuing our work in quarantine, we follow the decisions and recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: we provide disinfection facilities, limit the number of participants of our events, and provide online broadcasting. In particular, with regards to the Women in Arts Award ceremony.

We keep working and wish you health!
