Ukrainian delegation at the DOK Leipzig
About project
Ukrainian Institute, in partnership with DOK Leipzig, Goethe-Institut and Goethe-Institut in Exile createв an opportunity for Ukrainian producers to participate in the industrial section of the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, which took place from 17 to 23 October 2022 in Germany.
Programme
Film Festival DOK Leipzig is one of the most significant cultural events in Germany, which annually gathers more than 40,000 visitors since 1955. Film screenings, talk formats, special events and the Extended Reality exhibition DOK Neuland are all part of the festival, where films from 55 countries will be presented this year.
Producers selected for the delegation received festival accreditation, which provided the opportunity to attend the events of the industry section. Participants could also network with colleagues from the film industry and find potential partners.

Ukrainian focus at the DOK Leipzig
The festival also presented a program with a Ukrainian focus. As part of Spotlight on: Docudays UA 2022, four films from this year’s national competition of the Ukrainian Docudays festival were shown:
- Plai. A Mountain Path directed by Eva Dzhyshyashvili
- Between Heaven and Mountains by Dmytro Hreshko (the winner of proMOTION 2022).
- Pryvoz by Eva Neymann
- Infinity According to Florian by Oleksiy Radinsky.
There also was a screening of the opening film of the festival – Terykony by Taras Tomenko.
